The Boone Area Cyclists held an annual meeting Tuesday at the Watauga Medical Center auditorium to renew memberships and provide updates about bicycling issues and accomplishments.
The club, formed in September 2009, has grown from 130 members in 2010 to 206 in 2012. The nonprofit’s mission is to develop, coordinate and promote safe and accessible bicycling opportunities in the Boone area.
President Ken Johnson outlined the club’s accomplishments of the past year and mentioned goals for the next year.
